Halo Wars is rumoured to be Microsoft's next full-bloodied first-party game to support cross-platform play between PC and Xbox 360. According to rumour circulating, a PC version of the RTS is going to be announced at next month's GDC in San Francisco. To be honest, we wouldn't be at all surprised if Halo Wars was confirmed for PC at some point. Previous games in the Halo franchise have appeared on the platform, after all. Though this is a slightly different kettle of fish.
We reached for the Microsoft hotline... "We do not comment on rumour and speculation", the company's UK arm replied when we queried it on the report. Cross-platform action between PC and Xbox 360 has hardly set the world on fire to date. Shadowrun failed to impress, and we've heard pretty much zero in terms of support from third-parties, although Sega RTS Universe at War does have the feature.
Halo Wars is in development at Ensemble Studios, which has worked on the Age of series of strategy games for PC. And it's looking ace.

I think it should have only been released on the PC. RTS games don't feel right on consoles to me.
That's a very self-important thing to say... just because console RTS's don't feel right to you, they shouldn't release a console version?

I...really don't see how it's any different at all. In fact, it just makes sense that an RTS will appear on the PC since that's one of the genres the PC does best.
WTF?..
Are you REALLY saying that consoles do better RPG's than a pc? LMAO.

No, he isn't saying that. Go back and re-read his comment.
They buttf**ked the RPG, now they're going to do the same to the RTS.
Yes, Pc's first so they dont sale f**k all then consoles where they'll sale more.... you really thing they'll go for that plan, because most of the people on pc download the game rather than buying it! but yea its better on pc, but still good to have an option for a console.
