Today 2K Games announced that Bioshock is in development for the Playstation 3 and is scheduled to be released
October 2008 with new content and features.

"Since BioShock for Xbox 360 and Games for Windows won countless 2007 Game of the Year awards, we are excited to see the impact of this stellar title for the PLAYSTATION 3 system when it debuts this fall," said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K. "Over the coming months we look forward to revealing the new features and content that will make this a must-have game for its new audience, as well as for those who enjoyed it on the other platforms."

Bioshock was originally released in 2007 for the Xbox 360/PC and has won numerous Game of the Year and Editor's Choice awards.

The game is only about a year old now. Little late, wouldn't you say?

You're totally right, this game won't be any good or enjoyable for those PS3 owners who haven't played it because it's a year old, the story and game play are totally outdated by now...

I guess in a few months when GTA IV is released for the PC people will feel the same way Everyone will stay away from it because it will be considered old

There's no pleasing people, is there....?

Well, if for some reason they HAVEN'T played it, and 2K hasn't updated the game any, I bet a bunch of PS3 owners are going to get pretty bored about halfway through the game, and irritated as hell about three quarters of the way through, then just P.O.'ed at the end. The game looked great, but the story and plotting stank like a New York garbage ferry in August.

That's not what I'm saying. It's just that all the buzz about Bioshock was LAST year. Why the heck didn't they release it to the PS3 at the same time as they released it for the other platforms?

HEY, can we keep something besides HALO for the 360? damn!

Why? Only one benefiting from exclusive titles is the company that has them. Gamers do not benefit at all when they have to buy multiple consoles just to play one or two games only available on that system.

If the addional content/features are worth while, I'll have to buy it again for the PS3 (already have it on 360 and loved every second of it)

Side note: I liked Oblivion so much I got it on all 3 platforms 360/PC/PS3

Personally, I can't wait. As soon as I can reserve it, I'm doing so. I was planning on buying a 360 just to play Bioshock and the Halo trilogy, but now I can set that aside for a while longer.

Bioshock.

Best on PS3.
cool on PC.
worst on xbox 360.
