Electronic Arts have thrown a blow to PS3 owners, confirming that they have put development on Red alert 3 on hold for the console. No reason has been given for the resources being pulled, or indeed, whether work could eventually be continued in the future.Confirmation that EA LA is focusing on the PC and Xbox 360 versions, which will ship simultaniously in the Autumn was given by the representative.
This comes only a day after Sony announced that they are cancelling two first-party games for the console - The Getaway and Eight Days.

They should have learnt after the PS2 to make a machine it was easy to develop for.
LOL, PS3, LOL!
/sarcasm
I havent upgraded my playstation 1....... day of release model yet
And that has what to do with the above comment (which has what do to with this article?)?
Excellent Point! I was reading this about a game being delayed, and the next thing I know RROD comes out of nowhere! If a game was delayed due to RROD, then it would make sense to bring it up (but thats still grasping at straws).
With this..some of the great games are not coming to PS3 until further notice:
C&C Kane's Wrath
C&C RA3
Alone in the Dark
Tiberium
and a few others most likely experiencing the same faith just shows that PS3 hardware is still uncomfortable to work with, with severe limitations in hardware.
Yeah but the PS3 version could have mouse/keyboard support...
Yeah but the PS3 version could have mouse/keyboard support...
Actually, it probably has a high chance of Keyboard/Mouse support, considering didn't RA1 on the PSone support using a mouse? (I vaguely recall Sony releasing a Mouse for the PSone and RA1 supported it...or did I completely imagine that?)
Yeah but the PS3 version could have mouse/keyboard support...
Wouldn't that basically be a PC?
That was my thought, because using a controller for an RTS game would suck hardcore.
Owell, they make anything where they can make money, right?
building... on hold... damn, need more resources cancelled
