Hot on the back of Google getting involved with Virtual Worlds, with their 'Lively' project, figures have been released about the industry in general, and investment into Virtual Worlds.

It turns out that over the past 12 months, $345million has been invested into the expanding world of virtual worlds. This has included the creator of the Lord of The Rings MMORPG, Turbine, who received $40million.

what about blizzard? Im sure WoW raped LOTRO. (although I never played WoW that much, I did like lotro better.)
