Hi, everyone. As many of you know, we released PS3 firmware update v2.40 last week, but had to take it offline temporarily because, for a limited number of users, the XMB wouldn’t display after the update was installed. We’ve been able to fix the problem, and I’m happy to report that firmware update v2.41 will be released shortly. We want to extend our apologies to the PlayStation community for any inconvenience. Now we’ll be looking forward to seeing everyone online and racking up those trophies!

And your point is? Old news or not, people not crawling through all the web might not know that mews.

Hey you know that we are able to teleport photons? Yeah that's an old new more then 2 years old but I'm sure there's not a lot of people out there that know it.

Next time, don't post unneeded comment that get no point.

Well,I submitted this literally 5 minutes before heading to work (so about 0820 GMT) on the morning of July 7th (the morning of the release). There were a total 35 posts on the Playstation Blog article at the time, so it was pretty up-to-the-minute news at time of submission... I didnt look at the time Sony updated the blog, but it was safe to admit that if it was 0820 in the UK, the US wouldnt know about it yet. I dont know about you guys, but when I get up in the morning, I like to read the news. Maybe if it had turned up in a timely fashion people would have woken up, read Neowin, and seen that it was out.

It sucks that it took so long for the post to turn up on here, but hey, at least I made an effort. ^.^
