- Wrong, wrong, wrong. The PS3 doesn't have enough AAA exclusives to outsell the 360 this year. And the Wii won't sell 15 million for the same reason.
Just go back to ruining CoD WaW. -

- A you may, or may not have noticed, Nintendo doesn't need AAA titles to sell consoles.

Sadly, it's because the idiotic public are attracted by something that is deemed "revolutionary", even though everything on it is s***e. I wanted this to be the Jaguar all over again!

They're not buying it because it's "revolutionary". They're buying it because it is fun. -

Actually they do. They always have in fact. Their first party games sell their consoles. Period. Can you find someone who bought a wii to play "raise a horse" or one of the other shovelware? They buy it for smash brothers, mario, etc. Thus, Nintendo games sell nintendo consoles, and without that the Wii would not have gotten far at all.

Games are a personal preference.
Saying this, I can also see the PS3 doing better than the Xbox in the long run. I've spent the last few months looking at games from both consoles (trying to choose one) and,from what I've seen, the majority of Xbox games seem to be aimed at hardcore gamers.
I'll explain further. My Mum, sister and I have all enjoyed playing games on our old PSOne (Crash, Spyro, Gran Turismo). Now I look at the exclusive Xbox titles and I can't see a single game that would interest anyone else in the family but me. I look at the PS3 and while it doesn't have as many exclusives, the variety of them is much greater. You have games like Ratchet & Clank, LittleBigPlanet, the PixelJunk games, which are aimed at anyone - even Uncharted looks like it has a fair amount of universal appeal.
Exclusives are worthless unless you can get a decent variety.

- I may be willing to believe its possible that the PS3 outsells the Xbox 360, but the people at Activision are pretty much just guessing here.

- It wouldn't been nice to also include the current sales up to this date.. Not everyone tracking how X or Y sold... :/

- I don't mind, I'll always enjoy the xbox, and as long as Microsoft continue to make it's already relatively large community happy then I'll definitely be happy. Mind you, this entire generation has been great for the gaming industry as a whole. The Xbox360 was out early and gained a lot of newcomers (and oldies) because it was the first thing out to have the latest hardware. Then, the PS3 kind got off to a shaky start but in the end proved that if you have the superior hardware/machine, you are more than likely to come out on top in the long run. The Wii and Nintendo on the other hand did something entirely different -- they took money from everybody's pockets to invest it into the next console. Everyone thought they were dead and then they came back. They've all got their pros and cons, but at the moment it's nothing but positive on most fronts (ratings on the other hand in Australia is still stupid, R+18 is still needed!

By the end of the current calendar year, Activision believes the consoles will sell:
* PlayStation 3: 8 million units
* Xbox 360: 6-7 million units
* Wii: 15 million units
* PlayStation 2: 4-5 million units
Griffith also noted the company's expectation that handhelds will grow "in excess of 24 million," but did not provide a specific breakdown between PSP and Nintendo DS.
