Eidos revealed today that the Xbox 360 version of the much anticipated game Tomb Raider Underworld will feature exclusive downloadable content, available shortly after release. This move has caused outrage on many of the popular Tomb Raider fansites, as the PS3 version of the game will not benefit from such content. Many players still see the Playstation as the spiritual home of Lara Croft.
In addition to this, the PS3 version will not be preceded by a demo, unlike its Xbox and PC cousins, leading some to speculate that this is Eidos' method of disguising the fact that the PS3 version is a second-rate port of a game originally developed for the Xbox 360, a rumour they have in the past denied.

Whether or not sony was offered these extras, doesn't mean it should prevent Microsoft from doing so.
The first DLC level will come before the end of the year. The second will come before March for that one you will play a different character... who's also a woman (Lara's nemesis supposedly).

Eight levels with six hours of playing time each? I'll believe that when I see it. And if that is the case, I may get bored before I finish the game, much less any additional content.
