Following a suspected hit and run, police in Kanagawa, Japan are keen to speak to... a Mii?

Details are scarce but reports suggest that this is not the actual Mii of the suspect, but in fact a police photo fit from a witness description created using a Nintendo Wii. Would this really hold up in court?

Whichever way this bizarre story unfolds, it's certainly opened up a whole new world of possibilities for Nintendo.

Police should use some cosmetic software like the mii, instead of drawing based on descriptions.

Using the Wii to draw phantom images is certainly interesting.

No more useless than most photofits.

Its probably more accurate, as the user gets constant feedback and changes it rapidly themselves.

They probably woulda been better off using The Sims 2.

...Oh wait, it's not Japanese.

They should have included the best-match Mario Kart instead of the car
