Coming in May, a brand new bundle for the Xbox 360 console will be available in all stores (except those in europe). The bundle includes an Xbox 360 elite, which in itself comes with a 120gb hard drive and a wireless controller, along with two games. One of which will be Halo 3 and the other, Fable 2. The total price for the bundle will be at $399 US, which is the price of a Xbox 360 elite alone, so this makes this a good deal.

Not a bad deal. this just means that it will make it more difficult to sell your used 360 haha :-p

btw, little type:

I bet these will be Jaspers!

I hope, I need to replace / exchange my elite.

Because of RRoD or just because? : I don't understand there being any "need" to replace it if it's working fine.

The "need" for most people is that Jaspers run cooler.

In my case the "need" is because my DVD Tray will not eject / close each time. And I've been dealing with it for over a year. I figure I'll nab a cooler running jasper in the process when I exchange the unit at Bestbuy.

They should've thrown in COD4 - if they did, that would be an epic bundle. As it stands though, Halo 3 and Fable II can both be picked up fairly cheaply anyway.

Yeah, that would've probably got me sold on it as well. Meh.

This will be available in every region the 360 is sold in, except Europe.

Starting in May, keep an eye out for the Xbox 360 Game of the Year bundle. This limited edition bundle will contain an Xbox 360 Elite and a copy of the award winning titles Halo 3 and Fable II for US $ 399. That's the normal Elite Price plus two games at no additional cost. Check your local retailer for availability.

Update: I have confirmed that this bundle will be available in all regions that Xbox 360 is sold except those in Europe.

If you were buying your first 360 right now you know you would buy halo 3 with it.

will be available in all stores (except those in europe)

lol so.....only the US then? Shouldn't it just basically say 'only the US' instead of 'all stores (except most of them)'

Sweet! The wife and I were talking about getting a second 360 Elite just the other day. We've been "borrowing" my son's 360 to hook up the the big screen in the living room when we have friends over to play Rock Band. Of course I don't really care about Halo 3, my son already has it, and Fable has never really interested me, but if the bundle is the same price as the stand alone 360 Elite, might as well get the bundle and give the games away or trade them in at Gamestop.
#9.1 ahhell on 21 Apr 2009 - 13:22
The games will most likely have "not for resale" stamped all over them.

dont think you can trade them in , if they are like past bundles they come in 1 case and gamestop wont accept them.

Really? You can in Australia. EB just cut the covers in half! hah.. They have tons of kung fu panda and indiana jones games from a christmas bundle. They say not for resale aswell.... Ohwell, I got indiana jones for $15au either way great buy.

Unless you're not interested in either game. It would be better if they gave you new releases
#11.1 LiquidSolstice on 22 Apr 2009 - 08:55
Yeah. Totally.

Let's ask them to lose out on the money they could be earning by bundling games with a console for free.

That wasn't your smartest, moment, I assume.

This is cool, but still no wireless adapt...that's another $100 new...

I'll stick with my PS3, my 360 wasn't that much better before I sold it to make me want to drop another $500 on it.
#12.1 LiquidSolstice on 22 Apr 2009 - 08:56
You would really put your faith in online gaming on a wireless adapter?

Nah. hardwire for me all the way.

Who cares? I'd be more concerned about a guarantee on the hardware. Do the majority of 360's still pack up within the first year, or have they solved "the ring of death" issue?

It still happens from what I've heard its just you need to be unlucky. In other words its no longer a guarantee. Everyone I know has gotten a red ring if they owned their console for more then a year. My one weak spot in my Microsoft isn't that evil conversation.
