With the holiday rush approaching, it can be difficult to keep track of all the popular video games launching each week -- much less those on the horizon. Whether you're a casual gamer or just doing a little early Christmas shopping, we've collected a list of games we're most interested in this holiday season and the first quarter of next year.

Modern Warfare 2 - November 10 (PC, PS3, 360) - Modern Warfare 2 is Infinity Ward's sequel to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and makes the eighth major installment in the Call of Duty franchise. No it's not.
Call of Duty - United Offensive - Finest Hour - Call of Duty 2 - Big Red One - Call of Duty 3 - Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare - Call of Duty: World at War

So actually the 9th...

United Offensive and Finest Hour are just expansions for CoD1, and Big Red One is expansion for CoD2.

Majors:
1. Call of Duty
2. Call of Duty 2
3. Call of Duty 3
4. Call of Duty 4: MW
5. Call of Duty 5: WaW
6. Call of Duty: MW2

So MW2 is the sixth MAJOR release of Call of Duty

Not to mention that they got the release date wrong as it's been pushed back by 2 weeks on PC.

I like how Left 4 Dead 2 is coming but there's still no sign of Half-Life 2 Episode 3.

Well to be fair L4D 2 isn't that much of an advancement over L4D
