Gateway Enters Chinese Market with Notebook and Desktop PCs

In an attempt to capture some of the expanding Chinese consumer technology market, Gateway has announced the availability of its notebooks, desktops and displays in China. Gateway products are now available in PC malls and retail stores across China including the Best Buy store in Shanghai. The PCs Gateway is peddling to Chinese customers include Intel Core 2 Duo processors and the Windows Vista Operating system. "China is home to some of the world's most savvy computer users and we're confident they will recognize the value Gateway brings to this market. We believe Gateway's strong history of quality and innovation, combined with Digital China's outstanding reputation for service and support, will lead to success in the marketplace," said Gateway's CEO Ed Coleman.
