Yeah, Crackdown probably wouldn't be anything if it wasn't for Halo 3.

If we see a lot of Crackdown activity plunder within the first few weeks of its release, we'll know then what kind of game it really is.

I personally didn't think it was too bad, didn't seem like it was going to be a killer app... But to each his own.

I'd have to disagree there. I think the game holds up extremely well on its own merits. I think the achievements are one of the main reasons the game is going to rock, there are so many sweet little things you can do in the game, and the game is a true sandbox style game to boot. Graphically its wonderfully styled, the sound in the game kicks butt, and the overall "feel" of the game is just spot on.

I think this is going to be one of the big stories of the year, especially for multiplayer co-op gaming over Live. I can see me and some of my friends playing this all night long

I'm pretty suprised that the Crackdown demo is #2. I didn't think so many people would play it. I assume that people just want to try it to see if it's worth buying it for the game or just the Halo 3 invite. Either way, expect a lot of eBay auctions in the near future.
