Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2 demo now on Live! & more!

A shocking surprise this morning for all of you, the "confirmed" Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2 demo was released a short few hours ago! It is now available on Xbox Live! for Gold members only. The demo clocks in at about 650 mb or so, and is singleplayer only. A multiplayer demo is more than likely going to be released down the road as well. But for right now, the singleplayer demo is available, and you can once again saddle up and go Crosscom (2.0) ready! Here is what Major Nelson had to say about the demo:

Following up the 2006 platinum seller Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter (GRAW), Ubisoft brings the sequel GRAW2, with more of what fans loved about the original with 12 single player missions, 14 multiplayer maps, and a 6 mission coop campaign. You are the Soldier of the Future 2.0. All systems have been upgraded to give you more power and control on the battlefield. Following the failure of the "coup d'etat" in Mexico City Mexican rebels have gathered their remaining forces along the US border. Lead your team of elite Special Forces for the first time on US soil - straddling the border between Juarez, Mexico and El Paso, Texas. The Ghosts have less than 72 hours to stop a nuclear attack.

So what are you guys waiting for, go download now soldiers! Oh and a demo for Fuzion Frenzy 2 is also now available to download. Get to it people!

In the GRAW 2 single-player demo, which is set during the second mission of the game, Scott Mitchell must lead the Ghost team in Mexico to clean a rebel camp on the outskirts of the city of Juarez with the goal of destroying a number of objectives to open a breach for the allied loyalist Mexican army.

The player starts as a lone wolf, and then progresses through different levels, acquiring a number of new tools, weapons and abilities, such as commanding the Ghost squad and both the UAV Cypher and M.U.L.E support drones. All of these tools fall under direct player control, thanks to the new Cross Com 2.0, which allows precise control of these latest marvels of military technology.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 is scheduled for release on the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PSP (PlayStation Portable) system and Games 4 Windows in March 2007, with the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system version scheduled to release in June 2007.
