Google, China Mobile collaberate on mobile search

Google and China Mobile announced a joint venture in setting up Internet search functions in China.

Why China? It has the second largest Internet market: 120 million Internet users. Google is especially interested in China's 300 million mobile customers. This collaboration has been in a test period since December and is said to be in full launch by early 2007. The partnership extends to news, ringtones, videos and games.

Google's main search engine rival will be the Chinese company Baidu which launched its own mobile search over a year ago.

The title ought to be changed to "collaborate"...not only is it correct spelling but you can't have collaboration without borat.

A few months later... there will be conflicts between the Chinese Govt. and Google. I won't be surprised to hear that.

Like individual people, corporations always try to push the limits. That's nothing new. The difference is the sheer power corporations have as opposed to individual people. This never should have been allowed, but it's a mistake the American people made long ago, and now the rest of the world is paying for it.

So businesses should have never been allowed to open?

Are you retarded or something? The term 'business' is not synonymous with 'corporation'. One is merely a subset of the other - a type with a lot more power under the law, a type with rights as an "artificial person"; a person far less accountable than should ever be allowed. Try educating yourself before you open your mouth.

You don't even know what the hell you're saying, so you should just keep quiet.

Google has a hard-on for China. Huge user base + assraping censorship laws + developing capitalism + people desperate to sell their souls for riches = corporate paradise. All hail the almighty corporations.
