Google Chrome 31.0.1650.63

The web browser is arguably the most important piece of software on your computer. You spend much of your time online inside a browser: when you search, chat, email, shop, bank, read the news, and watch videos online, you often do all this using a browser.

Google Chrome is a browser that combines a minimal design with sophisticated technology to make the web faster, safer, and easier. Use one box for everything--type in the address bar and get suggestions for both search and Web pages. Thumbnails of your top sites let you access your favorite pages instantly with lightning speed from any new tab. Desktop shortcuts allow you to launch your favorite Web apps straight from your desktop. Google Chrome also uses a brand new javascript engine (V8), which is much faster than existing javascript interpreters. This means you can create more complex and more intensive AJAX applications with fewer speed and processing constraints. Finally, Google Chrome is built on top of WebKit, so Google Chrome users will benefit from the CSS3 features being added to WebKit as those features are released.

Chrome has many useful features built in, including automatic full-page translation and access to thousands of apps, extensions, and themes from the Chrome Web Store.

Google Chrome is one of the best solutions for Internet browsing giving you high level of security, speed and great features.

Google Chrome 31 was released almost a month ago. This is just a minor security fix release.

Notable changes were support for web payments, and the Portable Native Client (PNaCl).

I always use the lowest version number, progress can be so scary, seriously I do!

Mosaic 3.0 forever!

j/k

I believe the comment was meant to be sarcastic. In reality there's no way Firefox could overtake Chrome in terms of version numbers as both have more-or-less the same 6 week development cycles. Well, unless Mozilla decides to change that.

firefox is better because soon it will surpass chrome version number and everyone knows that higher version number means better quality software

Not sure if serious.

It has been proven time and time again. Can't wait for FF to surpass Chrome's number, I waited for far too long. GO FIREFOX!

Are you serious? higher versions don't necessarily mean better quality software. They are only numbers, and numbers don't say the whole story.

You serious about the version number?instead, you should see what was fixed and see if the update is worthwhile(security updates are important), basing an update solely on a version number is silly but it's your call.

lol, these forums are in a truly dire state if that was serious

How can one be serious about it? It's silly even if you don't know anything about computers and software.

I believe the poster was being WAY sarcastic in meaning NEITHER browser is that good!

Why is is that every time you see this thing updated here, it shows a pic of Angry Birds? Is that the only thing this thing can do? The games is as dumb as the browser!
