Google Maps can now retrace your steps with new 'Your Timeline' feature

Have you ever wanted to revisit some place you've been to but couldn't remember the name or the exact location? Luckily, Google has you covered as they have launched a new service today that will let you access a log of all your activities via Google Maps.

'Your Timeline' is a new service that works in conjunction with Google Maps that allow users to revisit places they've been. The timeline service also has integration with Google Photos and will show you pictures that were taken when revisiting locations. For those concerned about privacy, the service is private and can only be accessed by the primary user. Although everything is being logged, users will also have the option to delete and edit location information.

Your Timeline is currently only available on a computer or an Android device. If you do not see the service available in your location, Google has stated that the service is gradually being rolled out. If you are interested in enabling the feature, head to the settings menu for Google Maps and click the 'enable location history' button.
