Google Play music, movies and TV shows coming to Google TV

Google TV users will now able watch and listen to their music, movies and television shows purchased through Google Play on their Google TV device thanks to a new update. You'll also be able to purchase or rent media straight through your Google TV using a stored credit card. However you won't be tied only to Google Play as you'll still be able to use the TV & Movies app that comes with Google TV to search for content on other providers such as Netflix, Amazon, and HBO, which means you can hunt for the lowest price and still watch it on the same device. The update also includes smart app updates and subscription billing.

Google has told The Verge that the update will start to roll out tonight and should push to everyone over the next few weeks.

Hopefully someone will be able to comment on this and see if the HD quality has improved since this update. I tried it on the new Sony Google TV device, and the HD was so bad.
