Google unveils new lawn statue to celebrate the release of Android 9.0 Pie

With every new release of Android, Google has erected a new statue at the company's headquarters located in Mountain View, California. So, as you might expect, with the announcement of Android 9.0 Pie, a new monument has now found its way onto the campus, and you can now see the Bugdroid mascot looking just as excited for pie as everyone else that has downloaded the OS to their device today.

If you check about through Twitter and other social media sites, you'll undoubtedly run into more of these kinds of images, and sometimes even videos of the unveiling. If you have yet to check out the full details about the new update, you will probably want to check out Google's Android 9.0 Pie website for all of the details.

The update should be rolling out to Pixel phones first, then other supported handsets at a later date. If you own an Essential Phone, you will also be able to download the update, as it was made available for the device shortly after Google's Android 9.0 announcement.
