Google's €30,000 European Programming Competition

Google has just announced the start of its own European "Code Jam", a competition that gives coders around Europe to win a stake of the €30,000 up for grabs. Europe's best coders will go through various stages taking tests in either Java, C++, or C#, all timed, and competing against each other.

Registration is now open for the competition, and closes on the 23rd May, the first round will take place on the 23rd and 24th whittling down the entries to only 500 people. From there, three more rounds will take place, with the winner decided on June 29th, taking home the first place prize of €2,500.
