These final events involved competing for an Alienware Laptop, Xbox 360s, nVidia video cards and cash and prizes. The finalists were chosen by voting from users from around the world. The finalists were then judged by Steven Parker (Neowin.net), Nate Mook (Betanews.com), Angelo Sotira (deviantART), and Chris Pirillo (Lockergnome).

Well, there is an important point missing in this news post... you need additional software in order to get the visual styles running... (and I guess for the other stuff too, haven't looked at it).

wallpapers look pretty nothing to me.
and icons.. is there a way to get them without using icon packager?

The results are a little ... unsatisfying, or disappointing? But some
of those are absolutely stunning, Acyrilic being one of many. ~Congrats
