'Halo 4' is Microsoft Studios' best-selling game ever in U.S.

"Halo 4" just so happens to be Microsoft Studios' best-selling game of all time in the United States, after it recently surpassed "Halo 3" for sales during each game's respective launch year, according to the team. While "Halo 4" hasn't passed the total unit sales of "Halo 3" - it has only been out for under a year whereas "Halo 3" has been out for almost six years - it does make the most recent Halo title the "best-selling" game for a single year from Microsoft Studios.

The title will likely be the last Halo game produced for Xbox 360 as Microsoft Studios and 343 Industries focus on developing a new Halo title for the Xbox One, and although a trailer was shown at E3 2013, it's not known if the upcoming game is a direct sequel or a separate entry in the saga. "Halo: Spartan Assault" is also about to be launched, although it's a spin-off title developed for Windows Phone and Windows 8/RT with a third-person, top-down perspective as opposed to the first-person viewpoint of the Xbox titles.

ODST on Legendary solo is still my favourite but it's not bad. I do prefer Reach for multiplayer but the campaign is better in 4.

Anyone got a list to other Microsoft Studios' games, for comparison? it seems irrevelant to compare it to 'just any other' game, as this is microsoft studios' best-selling game.

I didn't like Halo 4 at all. I still can't force myself to finish the campaign.
All 343 had to do was take the Halo 1 remake and shoehorn in a campaign...but NOOOO they had to F up the controls as well.
Boo-urns.

You are aware that you can set the controls to a scheme like other Halo games?

Halo 4 was the first and only Halo I actually hate. It doesn't feel like Halo anymore, it feels like a ****ty COD.
Not at all, they took Halo in a logical direction that I feel Bungie was heading toward anyway. I personally love the fast-paced nature of Halo 4. Besides, the story itself was awesome. Feed me more Forerunner story!!

SIMILAR to other Halo games not the same.

I don't know what game you played, but it feels *pretty* similar to all the other Halo games I've played.... odd.

You should really try them then! In my opinion, no other FPS can come close to Halo's immense and impressive universe and main stories. Reading the books, watching the miniseries, reading the comics, playing the games... there's just so much juicy info to digest and I love it!

They're pretty good games. I'm a former XBox and XBox 360 owner, and owned all the Halo games up to and including Reach. Sold my XBox and converted to PS3, but if they released the Halo games on Playstation I would totally buy them. If you've ever played Killzone 2 or 3 on the PS3, it's the same kind of game. Travel to alien worlds, shoot bad guys, fight for survival, but Killzone is a lot more visceral and combat oriented whereas Halo gives you a break once and a while to soak up plot points.

Hehehe. That's if we compared it with the 200$ price tag

I think he was just poking fun at your misspelling of the real phrase "dirt cheap". Not that he meant it to be rude or anything...
