Hands on with Microsoft's Lumia 640 for Cricket

Earlier this year, Microsoft announced the Lumia 640, and the device is finally available in the U.S. Cricket is offering the phone for $129.99, and for that sum you get a 5-inch device with 8GB of memory, LTE and more; you can check out all the specs here.

The device comes in cyan, a color made famous with the Lumia 900 (there is a comparison image in the gallery below) and is unapologetically plastic. Despite that, the device feels well built for the price, with no flex in the shell; even on the back, where the battery is, the device if solid.

The glossy finish does pick up your fingerprints, but it's not as noticeable as other phones. And because it is smooth plastic, the phone is very easy to clean as well.

The screen is bright, responsive and everything you would expect from an entry-level Lumia, and, of course, there are the virtual keys at the bottom of the screen.
