An insider at AT&T has claimed that the long awaited GDR2 and Amber updates will be rolled out to customers who own a Lumia 820 or 920 today. Nokia and AT&T have yet to make an official statement.

HTC 8X users had reported their phones being locked up after receiving the Windows Phone General Distribution Release (GDR2) update, an update is being pushed out that appears to resolve the issue.
