Here's what gaming apps will look like on the Apple Watch

With the imminent release of the Apple Watch, we are starting to get glimpses of how applications will look on Apple's first wearable. Although we know that gaming applications can run on the watch, we have yet to see any prime examples of how this will be accomplished, until now.

Luckily, the folks at 9to5Mac have sourced screenshots for a variety of different gaming apps that will be available on the Apple Watch. While a small majority of the gaming apps are built specifically for the Apple Watch, a large portion of the apps seem to be more or less companion apps for current iOS games.

While there is nothing wrong with this, it'll be more interesting to see how developers utilize the wearables unique features (digital crown and ForceTouch) to create in-depth games in the near future. Without a doubt, there is a huge opportunity for developers to create something truly unique using Apple's new wearable.

The Apple Watch is currently available for order, but be warned, a majority of the sizes and configurations won't be available for shipment until June.
