Hitman: Sniper Challenge released for PC

People who enjoy feeling like their are a paid assassin and have a PC should be happy today. Publisher Square Enix has announced that the PC version of the stand alone downloadable game Hitman: Sniper Challenge has been released.

As first announced earlier this year, this game lets you play as the bald headed and bar coded Agent 47. Your goal is to sit on a rooftop and take out a selection of targets from another roof much further away. Better scores will unlock bonus items which should allow for Sniper Challenge to have a lot of replay value.

While this game was previously released for the PS3 and Xbox 360, Square Enix said they wanted to take their time with the PC version and put in some exclusive features. However it's not clear what exactly has been put into the PC port.

In order to get the game, you must first pre-order the upcoming full retail title Hitman: Absolution. Once that's done, players will receive a download code which they can type into the Hitman: Sniper Challenge website, where they can then proceed to download the game.

The game's developer IO Interactive is promising that the PC version of Hitman: Absolution "lives up to the high standards of our PC community." It's due for release on November 20.
