HTC One X and One S to get Jellybean starting October

Good news, everyone! HTC has confirmed that their high-end One X and mid-range One S devices will begin getting their updates to Jellybean this month at an event today.

At the unveil event for the HTC One X+ today, Graham Wheeler, director of product management at HTC, told the media that the Jellybean OS update for the two One series devices will take place during the last few months of 2012.

The devices will also get an update (at the same time) to the latest version of HTC's UI; Sense 4+. This will bring the UI in line across all three devices, creating a consistent experience for consumers.

Whilst those dates are tantalising, we suggest taking them with a grain of salt. Carriers are likely to want to "test" the updates for compatibility, so many of us likely won't see the update until November or even December. But hey, there's always the hacking scene, right?
