Not all that long ago, HTC was belching out a stream of utterly forgettable devices that steadily pushed buyers into the waiting arms of its rivals. But more recently, the company has been creating some of the most impressive devices on the market, including its excellent One (M8) flagship, and the stylish Nexus 9 tablet.
And HTC promises that the best is yet to come. As Android Central reports, HTC’s Senior Global Online Communications Manager, Jeff Gordon, shared a couple of tweets to see in the new year, in which he raised expectations significantly for the company's next wave of products.
He described the company’s 2015 product roadmap as its “best ever”, adding that there will be “some huge surprises that will blow you away”. We’re expecting to learn about the first device(s) from HTC’s 2015 roadmap in just a few days’ time at CES.
Of course, it remains to be seen if these new smartphones, tablets and ‘surprises’ can help the company to claw back some of the huge market share losses it has suffered in recent years, in the face of intense competition. For HTC, it promises to be an interesting year.
