IBM Begins Shipping Wii CPUs

Gamespot is reporting that Nintendo have already received their first shipment of "Broadway" CPUs for their up and coming much anticipated console the Wii.

Genyo Takeda, senior managing director and general manager of Nintendo's integrated research and development division, said: "The first chips are in our possession. Today's milestone marks the final stage of our drive to reach both core and nontraditional gamers with an inviting, inclusive and remarkable gaming experience."

Today's news is somewhat of a landmark, as gamers worldwide eagerly await the Wii and hope for a 2006 release.
