IFTTT allows you to automate tasks around your home. By linking different services together, you can allow them to interact with each other. For example, if you were to receive a Twitter mention, you could ask IFTTT to blink your Wi-Fi lighting.
The service provides an official app for Android and iOS, namely the DO IFTTT app, which allows you to synchronise actions on your phone with IFTTT recipes.
Currently, there is no official IFTTT app for the Windows platform. There is a third-party app for Windows phones, IF - IFTTT, by Kindzaza, which allows you to perform basic tasks, such as linking your IFTTT account with other services such as Gmail, Twitter and Facebook.
We reached out to IFTTT to ask if they had any plans to develop an official app for Windows 10. In response, an IFTTT representative said:
Of course, this statement could mean anything, except for iOS or Android. Since it was a response to a question about a Windows 10 app, it could lead one to believe that Windows is the direction that IFTTT plans to head in with its expansion. Of course, they could just as easily be talking about OS X, Linux, Chrome OS, or even an Edge extension.
No further details on IFTTT's plans are available at this time, but as that said in the tweet, stay tuned, as we'll likely hear more from them soon.
