Samsung’s phones are arguably the most recognisable of any running the Android OS. Bearing the ‘Galaxy’ moniker, the phones have one of the best brand images built up, perhaps falling second only to devices from Cupertino, California.
The Galaxy SIII has been a resounding success during its lifespan, but it wasn’t a sudden new competitor: it was the progression of Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S models, and its time in the limelight is coming to an end due to the announcement of the Galaxy S4.
While some may argue that the ‘Galaxy’ naming has been run into the ground by millions of low-end devices, the same complaint has never been leveled at the Galaxy S models. That one little letter makes all the difference.
