Internet users expected to reach 1.35 billion in 2007

The global population of Internet users is expected to reach 1.35 billion in 2007 and this increased access to and use of the Internet is driving the growth of online channels for businesses, according to research firm Research and Markets. With the increasing use of the Internet in people's daily lives, there is an increasing shift towards utilizing online channels to facilitate customer service, according to the research firm, which noted that the low cost and immediate qualities that such channels offer can drive value for companies, enabling them to help service their customers.

Web content management products can be used to deploy highly effective self-service initiatives for business partners, customers, and employees, using personalization to maintain an individual relationship, stated Research and Markets, adding that almost 54% of enterprises are currently using a web content management system, with a further 39% considering investing in a system within six months to two years.

WOW, that's alot of people online. Dial up sucks, sorry if anyone is on dial up and use neowin but why moan because a picture is big? People.. it's the digital age people are taking pictures in high quality, get with the times

some people aren't attached to their computer like some people here. they just wanna surf the web and check email without having to pay all this money to do it.

exactly! ... unlike me though.... although i got AT&T dsl (384k plan) for 15 dollar a month ... if this was available everywhere there would be pretty much NO reason to use dialup in my opinion as the cheapest dialup plans in general are no less than 10 dollars a month ... so for a extra 5 dollars a month you can get like 8 times the speed! ... "bang for the buck" wise, the stuff i have is hard to beat

so why should others have to stay aware that there are people that won't get into 2007- where broadband is just the norm.
