iPhone 5 vs Galaxy S3: Will it blend?

If you love your technology you may of heard of Tom Dickson and his powerful Blendtec blender. Over the years he's destroyed things such as glow sticks, paintballs, an air soft gun and even a solar lamp. Well Tom's at it once again but this time it's to see which smartphone will blend first, Apple's iPhone 5 or Samsung's Galaxy S3.

The iPhone 5 which was released at the end of September is made from aluminium plus a little bit of ceramic glass, and features a 4-inch display, a 1.3 GHz dual core Apple A6 CPU and 1GB of RAM memory, while the Galaxy S3 was released in May, is made from plastic and features a 4.6-inch display, a 1.4Ghz quad-core CPU, and 1GB of RAM memory. So which one lasted the longest?

Videos of destroying the latest expensive new products are always great because of the reactions from people that are upset and offended by it.

I don't know why but i laughed out loud when i seen the battery fly out from the SGS3.. i guess it coming apart easily made it last longer, it separated front/back and battery, they bounced off each other long enough to save from a possible emergency in accidental blending situations.

As someone who cannot afford a new phone - **** you.

I'm still own my old Motorola milestone (600mhz 1 core, 256mb ram) and frankly, i don't need a new smartphone. I get my email, internet, casual games and maps and it is more than enough.

This isn't something that surprised me with the LCD/digitizer. The iPhone shattered in a matter of moments while the SG3 lasted a while longer. It's all I get when people what their screens replaced by me, iPhones with completely shattered screens after a very small drop. Never get a S2 or S3/HTC with anywhere near as badly damaged digitizer.

My best friend dropped his Samsung Galaxy S3 while sitting down on a bench onto the pavement and the lower half of the screen cracked. Kind of sucked since he just got the thing.

That's odd. I've had my phone for a few months and I've purposefully dropped it from a height multiple times without any problems. That said, when the police stormed my apartment yesterday morning they ended up stepping on it and cracking the bottom of the screen.

Can you explain the last part? lol

Yes the 4/4s broke quick and easy cause it was exposed. I know people who have drop it many times and nothing. I've seen people drop it once and smash. But with the 5, galaxy s3 looks like a toy

Sure. When enough pressure is applied (say, from someone's foot) the screen cracks. And policemen's boots aren't known for being the softest things in the world.

Cool story bro.

I have seen nothing but iPhone 3/3GS and 4/4S with completely shattered screens from top to bottom. About 90-100 that I had to fix over the years. No where near as bad as anything else. I haven't done an iPhone 5 but I'm sure I'll have to soon one day

I think this needs a forum post please
I'm assuming it was a mistake since you are still posting on here, unless you have someone standing behind you watching everything you type?

u mad that the iToy blended way faster?

Watching stuff blend never gets old. I dont think anyone finds it "funny".

I find them more upsetting. It's such a waste of resources. The higher up in the technological chain and people involved, underage workers at Foxconn and others, the worse. At least if you actually use the products, you'll likely do so for years, but all human and natural resources just to blend something on YouTube for a barely funny video clip? Ugh.

POP culture. Anyways, even if it is not funny anymore but it is still amazing.

Anyways, they are not trying to do a funny video instead, they are trying to sell a stunning blend machine.

Exactly.

I bet you'll say the same about any shining object.

At time of writing the video has 133,670 views. 1m47s long (Lets call it 1.75mins) that means that phone has seen 3900 hours or 162 days worth of "use" so far in terms of "entertainment".
Not to mention if $1000 worth of phones and the video sells them a few blenders if won't take long before they earn that money back.

Plus I'm sure iPhones and S3s have already been destroyed by being dropped or submerged etc providing zero entertainment to anyone.

The most annoying thing is people (still) asking "BUT WILL IT BLEND?" at every new product coming out.

Some do... Some don't. And why are people upset by what others do with the things they pay for. Who cares if they blend it. Their money and they can do what they want
