iPhone gets It's own "Unlimited" Calling Plan.

Today, Apple released It's official "Unlimited" calling plan for the Apple iPhone. The plan starts at $119.99/monthly and comes with:

  • Unlimited Voice Calling
  • Unlimited email and web surfing
  • Visual Voicemail
  • 200 Text Messages
  • Unlimited Night And Weekend Minutes
  • Unlimited Mobile To Mobile

200 text messages per week may be very little for some of us, Apple needs to increase this limit If they want to make this unlimited calling plan a good one.

How funny. If this were any other phone it would be a non-issue. It's $119.99 for Verizon's unlimited select plan( only voice and text ), and $139.99 for premium unlimited which includes email and web. Who is overpriced?

web being included, does this mean i can download like 60 megs of things and not get charged? (cuz it's included in the plan) is that right? like visiting websites, downloading goodies and doing what i do on my pc without being charged extra? for 119 i think that's great.

Topic should be

iPhone gets its own "Unlimited" Calling Plan.

not

iPhone gets It's own "Unlimited" Calling Plan.

the apostrophe should be there because the plan belongs to the phone and the capital I may be a parody on the fact that "iPhone" is a proper noun but starts with a small 'i'

:D

No it shouldn't.. "it's" is a contraction of "it is"; so the apostrophe is wrong, no matter the explanation. "iPhone gets it is own "Unlimited" Calling Plan." makes no sense!

Quick! Call the grammar police!!!

Or, as the kids today would say:

Qwik! Call da gram-ur copz b4 u get pwned LOLZ!!!

Just having a bit of fun, go loosen your underwear

I pay $75.00 a month through verizon; this includes a DSL modem (Broad Band) with ulimited online time. Also included in this is the extended service, which means no roaming charges, and no long distance charges.

Just cannot see putting out this kind of money for something that nothing more than eye candy.

If this included CANADA to/from it would be a good deal. Unfortunately, if you cross the border you get screwed by Rogers ridiculous charges...boo.

Since we're extremely retarded here in North America, 120 bucks for unlimited data is plain awesome.
Now, is this a theft? Obviously, but then again, it's North America, we won't be too demanding. We'll start by getting 3G networks I guess :P

Are any of you even comparing this to the unlimited rates offered by the competition? This is actually a pretty damn good deal, especially if you'd rather email people than text while on the go. I think it's simply the fact that it's for the iPhone is what's got everyone all riled up. Btw, all iPhone plans include unlimited data, including the cheapest plan.

$120 for 200 text messages? I hate when companies so obviously try to make profit.

Also, I'm glad it comes with "voice calling", I'm so sick of the other kinds of calling... especially mime calling.

Shouldn't that say AT&T releases an unlimited iPhone account? Sure they sell it and the phone through apple, but it's AT&T's rate for AT&T's service.

As for Pay as you go on iPhone, they have that.

As for the price...T-Mobile blackberry plan $89 for 1500 minutes. verizon charges $139 for it's unlimited plan with data. At&t's plan is not the most expensive.

STARTS at $119.99? So what do you get if you pay more than that, is it EVEN MORE unlimited?

Idiots'll pay it though, I might even go so far as to say some people think Apple 'deserve' it for making a neat little touchscreen.

wow that sounds lilke a great deal
I get all that minus the email/web, and 200 txt msgs and my bill is 30/month..... and i bet that 120 doesn't include any of the access fees and all that extra crap. a phone shouldn't cost you 150/month just to use it.

Which is exceptionally low. It's not like text messages cost a lot to process - it's simply that they know they can make extra money from them, despite the $120 monthly fee and cost of the phone.

Unlimited data is all well and good for a Mobile phone plan, but the standard for a good deal in the UK is way better than this, and way cheaper than this.

Apple should release a Pay as you Go version of the iPhone, that would sell, but I'm surprised it's selling at all with the plans your forced into.

Wow! You can hardly call that UNLIMITED, since you're paying for the calls anyways by paying that phenominal rate per month. Wow, that's incredibly high. Unless that's including getting the phone as part of the contract.

They should put the iphone around $99 dollars for the entry level iphone and a 2 or 3 years contract, I gurantee to you that the iphone could dominate the smart mobile phone.
