KMPlayer 3.8.0.118

The KMPlayer is a versatile media player which can cover various types of container formats such as VCD, DVD, AVI, MKV, Ogg Theora, OGM, 3GP, MPEG-1/2/4, WMV, RealMedia, and QuickTime among others. It handles a wide range of subtitles and allows you to capture audio, video, and screenshots in many ways. The player provides both internal and external filters within a fully-controlled environment in terms of connections to other splitters, decoders, audio/video transform filters and renderers without grappling with the DirectShow merit system. Internal filters are not registered to user's system to keep it from being messed up with system filters. The KMPlayer includes almost all the essential decoders required for media playback. Furthermore, to get beyond the limitation of internal decoders, the external ones such as commercial h.264 decoders or cyberlink/intervideo audio decoders can be specified, so that KMP works optimally by the users' own customization.

PotPlayer is what people want to shift to as it's basically the former developer of this but it's just under a different name now that it was bought out. so he pretty much sold that crap to someone and continued to produce basically the same program under the PotPlayer name.

Ever since KMP was bought out by an advertising/online media company couple years ago, it hasn't been the same. The original developer/owner is no longer with the company (he actually works on PotPlayer). KMP+ has become such a scamware.

This was a fantastic player, and in a sense it still is, however last two releases completely destroyed it with that KMP+ crap that can't be turned off. What a terrible managing decision. If they do not come to their senses, KMP will die fast.
