7 does look like it has potential, but it is going to take an exciting app store announcement to get the current smart-phone crowd interested.

My world is. If your world is all about what Microsoft or your phone operator wants you to do, you should consider getting a mind of your own.

Robert, whatever you are saying doesn't really make sense.

If you want is only decent web browser, media player and GPS navigation then you should be reading about the mobile phone news. Those things can be done for years now.

I have no need for Facebook, Twitter, Outlook, etc and all this junk generating huge amounts of traffic and making the mobile operator rich.

All I want is a mobile phone with a decent web browser, media player and GPS navigation. I suppose I should look elsewhere then, as Windows Mobile 7 doesn't seem to be geared towards people who are anything less than communication maniacs...

You could just not use all that traffic generating software. But you would be hard done by to find a new phone that isn't heavily integrated with productivity / social networking.

There's a reference to the "Windows Phone Marketplace" at http://live.visitmix.com/News/Exclusive-Windows-Phone-7-Series-Offer-for-MIX10-Attendees-WP7 which seems to suggest they're waiting until MIX10 to talk about it.

Looks sweet! I wish I wasn't tied into the iphone ecosystem. Maybe I'll get a new winmo 7 phone and use iphone as a touch.

I think Google should announce an update to the Android platform just to steal Microsoft's thunder.

Yes! An update that will only take another year for all those Android OEMs to distribute!

Just set up a bot for your posts and make a sammich. :P You just say the same stuff over and over now.

That's because there's only one (technically three) phones for Apple to cater for, what do you expect, the are lots and lots of Android Phones from multiple companies and carriers it takes time boviosuly to update them all.
