For those with the missing tabs issue, I found this and it worked for me.

1. Delete file "C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\wdf01000.sys".
2. ReInstall SetPoint software: "setpoint440.exe".

I'm still using 4.24. (going to install this one now) but I have a question for Vista users please.

Since SetPoint v4.24 installation winmal.exe started to show up in my process list everytime I boot my Windows Vista. Same thing happens in my wife's computer. Both computers has diNovo Media Desktop Laser.

Problem is that the Winmail.exe doesn't show in the startup list of the MSConfig nor even in the Services List so I can't disable it. The main issue is that I DO NOT USE WINMAIL and this thing keeps using unnecessary resources.
Also tried Microsoft and they told me that there is no way to uninstall Winmail :-(

I tried to rename winmail.exe to winmail.old and it works but the problem is that keeps giving me an error in the Event Viewer.

I've just reformated my machine twice (I was about to do this anyway) because other issues and I confirmed that the issue really starts after SetPoint installation.

Anyone knows how to prevent this?

Thanks

OMG! What a mess! This version has more bugs than fixes. Stay away from it. Or at least wait till it's up on Logitech. Took me 3 tries to recover and get the last version reinstalled.

What bugs did you see?

No tabs even after direct reinstall of drivers only, Ghost image of mouse indicating proper images either not installed or corrupt, Game monitor not working at all, profiles not loading or saving among others that were supposed to be fixed.

Just like the previous version, there are no mouse nor keyboard tabs. I don't care about the keyboard, it's as bland as a logitech keyboard can get, but I want the side-way scroll of the mouse wheel which I can't access :( silly logitech.

That happens when we don't restart the computer after install it. Try to uninstall it, restart the system, install the this version, restart.

I haven't seen anyone else mention this so I'll ask as this is a problem that affects all 4 PC's in my house after I install Logitech SetPoint drivers.

If you use the Logitech SetPoint drivers then the Windows ScreenSaver will never kick in, if you uninstall them your screensaver works again!!

Saw this problem mentiioned a few months ago by other users on the Logitech forums and I've downloaded every driver revision ever since but the problem has never gone away and that applies for both Windows XP and Vista.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Maybe this can solve your problem.

SYMPTOMS
When you use a Microsoft wireless pointing device that uses Microsoft IntelliPoint software on a Windows Vista-based computer, you may notice that the screen saver of the computer does not work even though it is configured to run.

RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, plug in a wireless receiver, and then check for updates. To do this, visit the following Microsoft Windows Update Web site:
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ (http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/)
Install the Optional Hardware Update that is named Microsoft HID Non-User Input Data Filter.

I only have one problem with this software, well, it's not a problem at all.

On the versions 3 of this software it shows our mouse/keyboard image on the application, now in the versions 4 it doesn't show our device image, it shows a generic keyboard/mouse.

wonder why in the world a driver set for mouse and keyboard has to be 54Mb. just don't understand what of the 54Mb is really needed to drive a mouse.

Yahoo! toolbar bundled with this driver + multilanguage setup.

It also includes a bunch of Bluetooth drivers, stuff for bidirectional communication, and the OSD. This is a lot more than just simple keyboard drivers.

No, not beta. Simply new drivers/software uploaded to the file server and Logitech page will be updated very soon, feel free to get it now from the links above.
