Microsoft said Friday it's developing seven video game titles for its upcoming Xbox console, the software giant's first titles for the machine as it gears up for entry into the $20 billion video game market this fall.
About 12 to 20 game titles will be ready by the time of launch, and Microsoft plans to ship 1 million to 1.5 million units of consoles during the holiday shopping season.
Microsoft's in-house titles are Nezmix, Maximum Chase, Halo, Project Gotham:World Street Racer, Tenku-Freestyle Snowboarding, Jockey's Road and Kakuto Chojin. The company said new sensitivities following the Sept. 11 attacks haven't resulted in any changes to the games' content.
