With VisionTek hitting the bargain buckets as resellers attempt to clear out the troubled companies stock we ask are the VisionTek cards based on NVIDIA Ti chipsets worthy of a buy? Do we need the warrantee or should we take a risk?, and if so then will the VisionTek models still power our games adequately?

As you may have heard, VisionTek is close to bankruptcy. One source at NVIDIA said that VisionTek U.S has ceased to exist in the U.S but is still being represented by third party companies in the U.K and Europe. Little is known other than some big players at VisionTek left to join a new kick started company called bfgtech that effectively covers the same market as VisionTek (U.S retail & oem).

"The idea is we get you over quickly, and once we get you over, the things are in the same folder locations as they were on the PC," Coyle said.

Although music lovers may find that it takes hours to transfer all their files using the USB cable, Coyle says that many consumers find they have only about 500MB of files that need transferring--a process that takes around 15 minutes.

Bellevue, Wash.-based Detto was started by two former workers in Microsoft's technical support unit. The company received funding at the end of the Internet boom by touting the idea of transferring files to a new PC over the Internet. However, Detto quickly learned that the settings for getting onto the Internet were among the things that people wanted help bringing over from their old PCs. That's when the company switched to a cable-based approach.

Yea, my Xtasy 6564 Geforce3 Ti200 64mb card overclocks to Ti500 speeds with stock cooling. The only problem is finding a good driver that doesn't cause my OS to crash.

VisionTek is, by far, my favorite manufacturer of GeForce cards. I bought the VisionTek GeForce4 TI 4600 the day that it was released, and I haven't been upset with it since. It is quite possibly the best investment that I ever made for my computer (even over my 2200+ processor).
