Hmm at first I thought there was some confusion in the way I was reading the dates. It turns out that the driver date on the drivers I have installed are 12/08/2002 which is pretty damned close to the above date - and could depend which way you were reading it (British/American). Anyhoo I checked it out and checked out the driver versions and dates etc - and despite the claim on the creative site that this is an updated driver pack, the included drivers both have the same date, that is 12th August 2002 (or 12/08/02) So no change there. Look on file connect for the drivers they posted about 3 weeks ago, unpack them and compare them with these. You will see they are identical. What is new is that you can download them directly via Creative.com When I got them on FileConnect it is possible they had leaked. They are not beta though, if you check you will see both sets are identical. I wasn't dissing the story, just not sure why it qualified as news... Winbeta.org posted the drivers at that time too I believe... Q

If anyone has downloaded the compaq audigy drivers last week, do NOT update them with the above drivers. The compaq drivers (v283) are newer than the official ones posted at creative sites (v244) or downloadable above...

yeah, this is the same driver pack that was released at the end of august, the only difference is that this one includes language support for korean and some oth stuff.. exactly the same drivers though.. plus it is EXACTLY the same release as came out on the asian creative drivers page about a week ago (check the filename and size). they've obviously only just mirrored it across to their europe server, and for some reason felt the need to give it a new date. Also vacs is right.. if you really want the latest drivers you should get the audigy 2 drivers that came out last week.. they work fine and are 283.

yo! those who own a normal SBLive! should install AUDIGY-Drivers, too since they have a far better quality than the drivers for SBLIVE!... Unzip the package, go to folder Drivers and run the .exe. though it is a shame that the sound is that much better... at least it makes SBLive users a little more happy
