Microsoft DirectX is a group of technologies designed to make Windows-based computers an ideal platform for running and displaying applications rich in multimedia elements such as full-color graphics, video, 3D animation, and rich audio. DirectX 9.0 includes security and performance updates, along with many new features across all technologies, which can be accessed by applications using the DirectX 9.0 APIs.
Microsoft DirectX 9.0 Redist RC1 For End-Users
Use the DirectX 9.0 Redist to install the end-user runtime. This setup will install on all DirectX supported Operating Systems and minimizes the download size to only the DirectX components your system requires.
Important Notes: The DirectX redist files cannot be uninstalled. This is a pre-release version and it is important for you set a “System Restore Point” before installing the runtime. Please view your Operating System’s help files for more information. Requires Microsoft® Windows® 98, Windows Me, Windows 2000 or Windows XP. Does not support either Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.0
