Obviously you're not very knowledged about Creative's SB drivers. You can extract them with winrar (probably a few other compression programs too) and then run the setup program in the drivers folder and it will install fine. This has been the case ever since Creative decided to have a unified code base. However, they've only been releasing the drivers for new cards so if you ever want updated drivers then you'll have to do what I described above.

All Audigy drivers have worked on the SBLive so far, so I'll report back on this latest endeavor.

I'm not going to touch these. I don't trust something that's only on their asia site and which isn't WHQL signed either (NFS is a very unstable game and the slightest driver instability will cause it to crash).

What is the version number that is showing for you all after you installed these Audigy 2 drivers? I tried to install them via c:documents and settings...temp and noticed when installing them manually I get told they are the same version I am currently running from the Audigy 1 package (5.12.1.253). Can someone verify if these "new" drivers are the same version number as that?

These drivers are more recent, they are dated December 5, and the version is 5.12.01.0323, and the last available were 5.12.01.0283

I think I will give these drivers a miss... Took me bloody ages to get a set of Creative Drivers working properly under Windows XP.. these ones work great, and they'll stay like that for now
