- Is it co-incidence that Microsoft will release the Plus! Digital Media for XP on the 7th indicating that Apple will have a Media type blitz?

I'd like that too.

- they will release the final version of iSync.
The Plus! DME package from MS is going to include a syncing software (similar to ActiveSync), but it also does more with music.

- Heh. I started a thread in the Macintosh forum about this same topic. Didn't think it was FPN worthy. linky

- what i see: total phase out of the original CRT imac. Possibly a new revision of the iMac, maybe a bit faster (1GHz w/ higher GF4 graphics, or the choice for a Radeon 9000), a possible update for the iBook (its been a while, and the new look is getting a bit old, im also guessing probably a faster G3, or even a G4 upgrade, to accomidate the superdrive. I also think they might switch to slotloading drives too. As for the regular G4's, i see pretty much nothing. As for the eMac, i see maybe a 19" Crt version, and maybe a faster cpu and the addidion of DDR Ram

- I hope for a revision of the iApps, more specifically iTunes. It's getting kind of old and I have to admit, WMP9 simply blows it away with all the new features like getting album info/cover, customizeable UI and all the bells and whistles like the TrueBass effects and such.

- I think apple will keel over and die. Wishful thinking perhaps? On a more serious note, I agree that the iBook's "new" look is getting lame. It is like a chick car, but on a laptop. Any man cought with one of these should be promptly mugged. On a related note, do the iBooks even sell well? A low-end mac notebook just seems like it wouldn't sell very well in competition with the myriad of pc notebook options in that performance/price range. Also on a related note, is it possible or practical to buy mac notebooks without an operating system? (Linux...)

- There are things that, regardless of age, will never be lame. These are the people you're in love with and Macs.

What will Steve "i've got a cute remote clicker, and know how to use it..." Jobs unveil...
A new iApp...?
A new piece of Apple "digital hub" hardware...?
A new sweater...
Some of my thoughts are :-
- Apple will update most of their "i" software - iDVD, iPhoto, iSync, iMovie, iTunes, iChat, iCal
- speed up their processor ranges in most of their selection
- standardise on their LCD line, with 17", 19" and 23" displays (maybe even getting rid of the 17" varient!)
- put a superdrive into the low-end iBook range giving DVD burning n the road a whole new look!
- and one neat thought, put a FM radio into the iPod and give the 5gb iPod the same makeover jog-wheel and wired remote as the rest of the range, mind you a price drop would be nice!, considering 20gb firewire/usb MP3 storage players can be bought for like in the sub-$300 range
As for a new piece of Apple hardware, I don't know... Possibly a Phone/PDA?Lets see what our NeoWin readers think, what will Apple "surprise" us with on the 7th January 2003 ?
The language interface should now be done so you can start to translate the program. Send me all the translations so I can include them to the official distribution package. And there's a cool new feature for you who translate the program: If your translation contains errors and you try to use it the program automatically creates an ErrorLog.txt to your Languages dir. That file should help you to find the error.
The final version should be released in the beginning of year 2003 and in the meanwhile the version 1.1 will remain as the primary download.
At this stage you should report everything you find. If it's any way possible, you should report your comments and bugs to me, you can use the forum, the bug report form or the feedback form on jv16.org.
