- Surely the first powertoy should be something the OS should be able to do, without having to purchase an extra add-on. Is this an insight into how computing will be in the future - buy the basic funtionality and then pay for added extras.
Am I right in presuming you need to have bought Plus to use this? -

When Microsoft integrates stuff into the OS, people scream. When they don't and charge for addons, people scream. They just can't win.
Oh, and yes, Plus is required for this. -

- I'm sure it'll be integrated into Longhorn. They just didn't have this technology when Windows XP was released.

-
i'm wondering, is dme worth the $20?
No, no it isn't. I wouldn't waste even a dollar on it. There is nothing it adds that you would use regularly.

- I agree, not worth it. Most of the stuff is pretty useless, like the alarm clock. Most people already have a real alarm clock, rather than leaving their computer on to wake them up. A few audio tools but there are better freeware alternatives, and of course the dancers. After a few minutes that gimmick wears off. It is much better than the first pitiful excuse for a Plus! pack but I still don't think it is worth 20 bucks. It also has product activation, something I've never really cared for.
