The contest rules for the 8th Annual Apple Design Awards are now available. The awards, which focus exclusively on Mac OS X (news - web sites), are designed to recognize outstanding product innovation and user experience.
Seven Apple Design Award winners and seven runners-up will be announced in these categories: Best Mac OS X Product, Best Mac OS X Student Product, Best Mac OS X User Experience, Best Mac OS X Technology Adoption, Best Mac OS X Use of Open Source, Most Innovative Mac OS X Product, and, for the first time, Best Mac OS X Server Solution.
In addition to hardware prizes, winners will receive a trophy and the right to use the associated prize logo to market their products. Runners-up will receive an award as well as the right to use the associated prize logo to market their products.
