My god (the devil)! FIFTEEN discs for Office. [voice of the comic guy from the simpsons] Could it [i]beeeeee[/i] anymore [b]bloated[/b]? [/voice of the comic guy] They [b]really[/b] need to start hiring some people that know how to [b]optimize[/b] code instead of just filling up computers with tons of useless crap! Good thing I use OpenOffice...

Wow. Seriously dude, go choke on your f'n OpenOffice. If you moron don't get your infos properly (aka looking into the damn forum for the package list which saiz what CDs are packed with it) before bitching about bloat then better keep your trap shut completely.

How the hell did this idiot get to beta test Office 2003, if he prefers OpenOffice then use that and not test Office 2003. He can count which he has proved but not read, else he would know what the CD's are. I wish there was some sort of test for beta testing to get rid of the idiots and there are many of them in the newsgroups.

[neoquote=#1.3 by Jason] He can count which he has proved but [i]not read[/i][/neoquote] I guess you can't read either. I never said that I was beta testing this crap and the fact that I [i]did[/i] say I use OpenOffice would be a good sign that there's no way in hell I'd ever touch MS Office in its current form. You guys are a bit to zealous here. Even if it's [b]THREE[/b] discs for Office, that's still over TWENTY TIMES bigger than OpenOffice.
#1.5 Jason on 17 Mar 2003 - 19:34
Well it is over 20 times better So basically your compalining about the amount of disks with out knowing what is on each and everyone ?
#1.6 pHuzi0n on 17 Mar 2003 - 19:46
Have you even [i]tried[/i] OpenOffice? I'm not complaining about the size of it per se, but that MS is just filling it with crap that nobody needs or uses.
#1.7 Jason on 17 Mar 2003 - 20:01
I have tried Open Office but prefer MS office is just seems more complete and easier and quicker at getting more done plus I have to support it in my job. There are many Office Apps out there so you just pick the one tailored to your needs.

Got my pack this morning (UK). Looks good so far. Office is only 1 CD, the extra languages are on another 2 and then things like OneNote, Publisher and InfoPath are on seperate discs. Looking forward to having a play with it later.

it has alot of bugs in it still I didnt think it would be this bad. FrontPage has completly killed itself, only a hard restart fixed it! Already reported 16 bugs this evening! and that isnt including the 4 in the installers :s
#7.1 iUk on 17 Mar 2003 - 23:45
What, are you running some hacked version of Windows or something? Seriously, I'm not attacking you but you must have some funky configuration. Beta1 has been incredibly stable for me. I'm installing Beta2 tonight, and I know it will only increase the stability...
