Dear Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 Beta Tester,

Thank you for your test efforts and feedback thus far. To help expand your testing of Service Pack 4, we are providing test scenarios for you to focus on or to incorporate into your own test scenarios. The test scenarios are grouped together by area of concentration. On BetaPlace, http://www.betaplace.com, select the 'Testing Focus' left-hand side menu option and then select the 'Testing Focus 2: IntelliMirror and User Profiles' link. You will find test scenarios that address the new user profile, the existing user profile, the user with a mandatory profile, the new user with a roaming profile path, and the existing user with a roaming profile path.

Before you test a specific scenario please make sure that it is applicable to your testing environment. Please submit any bugs you find. We encourage you to share your testing experiences with other beta testers on the newsgroups.

We will post more test scenarios that focus on different areas in the near future. If you have any questions, please send email to w2kspadm@microsoft.com.

Thanks again.

We are looking for people that can communicate their ideas clearly and have an attention to detail. During the testing process you will have to explain to us how you found potential bugs and problems in the game and how to reproduce them. We will also ask for your views on game design and playability in order to improve the game.

The beta test will operate in a number of phases, with a large group of players working in concert to play the game. It will start early in the year 2002 in a closed beta testing phase with limited numbers of participants, later evolving into a larger community testing the game´s performance. We will initially select a small group, but will gradually increase the numbers of participants as the beta testing progresses. This gives participants several opportunities to contribute to the creation of EVE.
