have they sort out the noise and temprature problems yet?

I have never heard of a CPU making noise? Also AMD has never was a temperature problem.

the cpu fan that some people use on AMD chips are noisy... and there alot of people on neowin saying there cpu's are like 40 - 50... sometimes 60

The CPUs generate more heat than Intel processors, but it's tolerable. The stock fan that comes with the processor is loud. Really.

there is no noise issue and yes there COULD be a temp issue if u overclock or if u use imporper cooling

If you overclock you should have the brains to realize you need better cooling then the $5 H/S combo you get with the stock chip.

If by temperature problem, you mean it runs slightly hotter than an equivelant Intel CPU, you're right. However, the AMD CPUs are designed to run at higher temperatures, so it's less of an issue than some may make it sound.

So the Athlon runs 5 degrees hotter, who cares not going to be a factor for 99% of the home users. If you buy a good heatsink then you can use a slow fan and that takes care of the noise issue.

My Athlon MP's are rated to work at temperatures of up to 90C, but they are currently running at 29C... Overheating is not a problem....
