On an unknown release date Symantec Released Norton AntiVirus 2004 Beta Build 10.0.0.86 for Windows 98/2000/Millennium/XP. Earlier builds available include 10.0.0.69, 10.0.0.79, and 10.0.0.85. According to the time stamp in the Digital Signature, this build was made on Wednesday, July 23, 2003.

The final version of Norton AntiVirus 2004 will not have this requirement.

Note that this was previously posted on their beta site, but then they "closed" the beta within a day's time, so few people were able to get it. It made no sense that they would close it so soon given that the product is still in beta, so it's good to see, however belatedly, that it's back.
