Microsoft has sent out invitations to join the PC Satisfaction trial. PC Satisfaction Trial is adding nice features based off Windows XP, such as: Improved Personal Firewall (like the one in ZoneAlarm with program access control), Built-in AntiVirus Program, Improved PC Health (newer Windows Update)
The Microsoft Windows Product Team is looking for a select group of people to help us test and perfect technology that is to be used in an important Web services trial, the PC Satisfaction Trial, which will be part of our “Real People, Real Data” customer research program.
To participate in this program, you will need to be willing to install and use the PC Satisfaction Trial service on your home or small business PC and report any bugs, problems, or suggestions to the development team. This program will run for approximately 3 to 4 months.

Microsoft's server division is the only business unit at Microsoft, besides those responsible for Windows and Office, that made money in the previous quarter. At today's analyst meeting, Microsoft will announce a change to a unit accountability system which will address this problem. The idea is that Microsoft's money-losing operations will no longer be quietly bolstered by the sales of its successful products, and each business unit will have to cost-justify their products' existence. [That would be apart from the Xbox boys eh?]

Thank you for your patience,
xBetas Team
