Internet Explorer shuts down unexpectedly because of an access violation. This problem may occur if you have set Windows and buttons to Windows XP style. The Windows and buttons option is on the Appearance tab of the Windows XP Display Properties dialog box.

BRIEF OUTLINE OF NEW FEATURES TO PREVIEW

Here is what you can do with the new MUSICMATCH® Downloads service in MUSICMATCH® Jukebox 8.1:

· Create a download account
· Set up a personalization profile
· Search by artist, album, or track to find music available for purchase
· Purchase tracks and albums you hear on MUSICMATCH® Radio
· Buy individual tracks or purchase complete albums
· Burn your purchased tracks onto a CD
· Download your purchased tracks to a portable player*

* You may play MUSICMATCH® Downloads on portable devices that are both compatible with the Windows Media Device Manager and support playback of DRM protected Windows Media files. To verify if your player is compatible, check the manufacturer's specifications or contact the manufacturer. Your portable device must be Digital Rights Management (DRM) compliant, because MUSICMATCH® Downloads use DRM license encryption technology. Portable devices that are not DRM compliant will not decrypt or play your MUSICMATCH® Downloads.

BUG REPORTING

Customer feedback is very important to us - we appreciate hearing from you about any errors or issues you may encounter during this preview. When reporting errors, please be descriptive enough so that we can troubleshoot the problem. We appreciate information on bugs as soon as you encounter them.

To submit bug reports, select 'Help>Request Technical Support' from within the Jukebox menu. This will open a form that provides for submission of diagnostic information along with your description of the problem you encountered.

PREVIEW VERSION UPDATES

Updates to the Jukebox may become available throughout the preview period, and we will notify you of these changes via email as they occur. This email may ask you to perform a software update from within the Jukebox, in order to obtain an updated preview version. You may also periodically check for software updates by selecting 'Options>Update Software' from within the Jukebox menu.

Thank you in advance for participating in the preview of MUSICMATCH® Downloads and MUSICMATCH® Jukebox 8.1. We appreciate your time and continued support.

I EVEN REINSTALLED IE 6 SP1 !!! NOTHING...

It is a misleading error message. What it actually means is that setup was looking for a specific version of Internet Explorer 6 SP1 with certain file versions. You have received the error message because you have files with greater versions than those it is looking for, because you have applied a number of pre SP2 fixes.

In simplest terms : You already have this patch or greater installed.
#4.3 Coolme on 19 Sep 2003 - 17:44
Some of the patches relased before this update was considered SP2 probably because of the delaying of the windows Xp SP2. Which means u have to uninstall all pre-sp2 patches... (for IE 6)
#5 Dazog on 19 Sep 2003 - 08:28
if it says that u have a newer file that what its updating, since it expects the driver version that comes with sp1 of ie6.

You have newer, so it won't let u put an older file over the newer one.

Is it just me or is the XP version of IE6 SP1 completely incompatible with updates for the standalone IE6 SP1 for other OS's? It's like they are really two different versions.
#7 smeagollum on 19 Sep 2003 - 09:16
And as all patches I can't install it

And im ABSOLUTELY sure: I have SP1 installed

What's up with Microsoft releasing OLD UPDATES? The version of urlmon.dll is 1221 in this!

I heard IE6 SP2 is expected around Q4 2003

That's unfortunatly not true, they are releasing "old" patches through DownloadCenter. Notice the "date" field:
Internet Explorer Patches in DownloadCenter, sorted by date

These patches have been HotFixes you have to contact MS-Support to get them. They are releasing these for a long time for public download - via DownloadCenter only. The annoying fact is, that the last four(!) patches made available via DownloadCenter shortly, are indeed patches which were superseded by the last Cumulative Patch for IE 6 (SP1), Q822925.

Once again: German languaged site about IE 6 SP1 patches and List of actual, relevant patches for IE 6 SP1 (German)

Bye,

Another half-fast MS patch. I have I.E 6 w/SP1, and I get a msg telling me that I can't install it if I don't have I.E 6 w/SP1. The Redmond Dumbass strikes again!

Dude, it's "half-assed".

You live in Redmond?

These patches are freaking superceded. Stop banging your head against the wall trying to install them.
#12 RanCorX2 on 19 Sep 2003 - 18:57
if you cant install it, it sometimes doesn't mean you already are up-to-date, just use winrar or winzip to unpack it and run the inf.

no go on install either.

SP2 will be out in Q4 2003 according to Bink's site.
#15 Hills420 on 21 Sep 2003 - 15:45
Just give us SP2 already....
#16 buzz99 on 24 Sep 2003 - 11:24
Here's a workaround :

Extract files with winzip in a folder, get into that folder , rightclick on Q822350.inf and choose install. Return to the Q822350.exe, double click and the installation should go...
